Brantford Community Volleyball League

The BCVL was formed with the intention of bringing community volleyball to the city of Brantford with the core values of sportsmanship, friendship, and hard work.

Divisions

The BCVL runs 4 divisions including:
A (Expert),
B (Advanced),
C (Intermediate),
D (Beginner/Recreational)

All players should know their skill level and sign up with their team according to their abilities and skills. The rules are the same across all divisions, but skill of play will vary.

Game Times

All games are played at the Branlyn Community Centre in Brantford.

Division A (Expert) and
 Division B (Advanced) play on Monday nights between 6:25 PM and 10:35 PM

Division C (Intermediate) and D (Rec/Novice) play on Tuesday nights between
6:25 PM and 10:35 PM.

Players

Our league has a maximum of 3 male players on the court at one time to ensure fair play. Rosters may have 12 individuals at any time. 

In the event a player is missing for a week, a ghost player will be applicable as per Volleyball Canada (VC) rules.

A new player borrow rule is in effect for this season, please see the updated rules for more information.

Players must be registered on a team roster and play a minimum of 6 regular season matches to be eligible for the year-end tournament.


Sportsmanship

We ask that all participants abide by the 3 core values above by conducting themselves in a manor of that of respect for all players, officials, equipment, and facility staff at all times.

Failure to do so may result in ejection from a game with warning, and expulsion for the season with repeat offences.

There is no tolerance for harassment, violence, or aggressive behaviour.

BCVL is an all levels community volleyball league based out of Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
