Tournament Rules

• The same rules as seasonal play will apply to the tournament, ghost rules and ball selection rules will also apply the same as seasonal play

• · Rosters of eligible players will be provided to team captains prior to the tournament
•     · If you believe a player is playing illegally, please approach the committee to ask for clarification.
• · All games will be 45 minutes, time caps will apply at the discretion of the organizing committee
• · Game times will be from 6:30 PM to 10:15 PM on Friday night and starting at 9 AM on Saturday morning. 
• · Tournament is a double elimination, 3 game minimum tournament bracket
• · Seeding for the tournament is based on the regular season standings
• · All games will be best 2 of 3
• ·       Playoff games will be 2 games to 21 (starting at 4, cap at 27), 3rd game to 15 (if necessary, start at 0, time cap**). Coin toss for serve on 3rd         game if necessary. Switching sides at 8 in 3rd game.
• ·       Championship games will be 2 games to 25 (starting at 0, no cap), 3rd game to 15 (if necessary, start at 0, no cap). Coin toss for serve on 3rd         game if necessary. Switching sides at 8 in 3rd game
• **In the event a game goes beyond the time limit, a member of the committee will approach the referee to call last serve if the game is running long in a tie breaker (no cap), referees to keep play going until a win if committee members do not advise calling last serve
• 
  · If a top team makes it through the tournament, the double elimination will apply, but if the 2 teams agree to a winner take all 3 or 5 set   game, that will apply in place of the first loss rule. Otherwise, the regular games will be played as a best 2/3 and an agreed to single set or best of 3 game replay (time dependent) if necessary.
